Clovis City Council

I think you've demonstrated a lot of significant leadership, particularly for people who are conservative, who get attacked a lot for sharing their conservative values, their conservative beliefs.

I think it's also sometimes been reflected on probably how you've been treated on the Clovis City Council.

That's for another day.

But why don't you talk about what's gone on in terms of your role in the community and some of the things you've done in terms of leadership?

And I always say that I don't want to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

I don't want someone to cast a vote for me and six months later think I had no idea she thought that or believed that.

And so you've kind of seen that for me in my first term here on the Clovis City Council just four years.

But when people come to me with an issue, I bring it forward.

And I've been doing that since June, knocking on doors and talking with people.

I may only have one term on the Clovis City Council, but I am proud of the record that I have and the stands that I've taken for the issues that are important to people.

I have so many people when they answer the door, they say, I know who you are.

Thank you for what you've done.

There were still a lot of people that we knew from our days working for Congressman Rodonovich who are still involved.

And so it was kind of easy to get back.

And that wound up to my run for the Clovis City Council.

And that was fantastic.

I'm not going to date myself.

A bit later, we'll have a couple of candidates running on the Clovis City Council.

Now, they're split up into districts, which is kind of weird.

That's never happened before.
