Cloudwater Brew Co

That's WSET for short.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, while she was in the UK, Mirella was kind enough to get a train up to Manchester, where she joined me one morning in the Cloudwater taproom to discuss beer education.

Mirella not only has one of the best palates in the game, she also combines this incredible knowledge she has with an equal amount of enthusiasm, which you will hear throughout this discussion.

And it certainly got me more interested in the value of beer education, something I've been cynical about in the past.

... that still has family breweries.

Um, and, uh, there's about 70 breweries in the metropolitan area.

Even in Cloudwater, where we are, as you look behind you, you can see there are two beer engines.

This is a brewery that is largely focused on hazy modern IPAs and expressions of modern hop varieties.

You're not going

into Cloudwater where it's all made up in Manchester.

Yeah, exactly.

Is that half, do you think?

or something

so I guess your camping spot I guess your camping spot I guess your ticket into the venue each day to watch the live music but it doesn't include your beaver as you know so you need to pay for those but you're getting the likes of the four that I picked out which you're never going to see at a fucking music festival either Kernel, Elusive, Cloudwater, Asbex I mean like The ticket will cost you 120 quid.

You'll easily spend about 500 quid, if no more, over the weekend on the beers.

But,

off Discord this afternoon.

Straight after this.

Cloudwater bringing up a real range of beers.

Somebody trying to pronounce that first one.
