Harry, I'm not sure if you're aware, but the Rugby League Players Association, their chief executive, Clint Newton, have taken Volantis to task for questioning the integrity of the players who have been questioning the new attempted rule changes.

And as a result, he has conceded that the players were so unhappy about what he said.

And I think Moses Leota and Liam Martin might just have to wait a little bit longer to see where the chips kind of fall and whether that's in their favor or if it's not in their favor, if they go to a rival club.

I love this by Clint Newton.

Let's put aside the fact that he clearly has a pony in this race in the fact that he represents the players.

He is doing his job here to a very high standard and he is keeping the NRL in line because Peter Valerni, some of his comments yesterday, whether you're a big fan of him or not, did come across as egotistical, essentially downplaying three captains at the finals launch series.

What's the right word I'm looking for here? It was just an inflated ego where he didn't want to listen to what anyone else had to say and he already had his view and his opinion on the topics kind of sorted.

So it's nice to see him take a step back and kind of go, yeah, look, I need to be listening to the players.
