Climate Fiction Prize

So again, I think they're great because they get you reading books, but I often find the long lists are better than the short lists.

I did read Hum, which had won the Climate Fiction Prize.

That was good.

And I've done, I've read the long list, or maybe it was the short list of the Booker Prize some years ago, and I wouldn't do that again.

And I do think the judge is looking for something

different to...

Yeah, so I would say for me personally, yes, I read the Climate Fiction Prize winner, but I didn't read it because it had won that prize.

I read it because I was looking at the blurb and thought, this sounds brilliant.

I got this at the Hay Festival.

I believe it won the Climate Fiction Prize this year as well.

And I saw it at the Hay Festival.

In fact, they had a whole section for the Climate Fiction Prize.

And I picked it up and I just thought, oh, I think this sounds a bit of me.

And then I read it and I was like, wow, this is sensational.
