A restructuring plan in Cleveland, Ohio, will lead to 29 fewer schools across the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

Other cities, including Houston, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia, have similarly identified schools for closure or consolidation as they grapple with similar trends of declining enrollment and aging facilities.
