Cleveland Monsters

So it's fun to, you know, be a little bit a part of it.

Back in 2016, you guys had a team in Hershey that went all the way to the Calder Cup finals, lost, unfortunately, to the Lake Erie Monsters.

But on that team, they knocked out these Toronto Marlies that year, which was a very good team, that William Nylander, among others.

There were a lot of guys that went on to win a Stanley Cup.

We have two this week.

I love a good rivalry, and you can tell that this one is back between the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Cleveland Monsters because fan reactions are off the charts.

I get irritated when a call that doesn't get called should get called.

My blood gets boiling again.

So kind of a whole inter-organizational rivalry situation that we'll have going here.

It's going to be a fun season between these guys for sure.

We'll head into Friday's game, our little back-to-back at home with the Cleveland Monsters, who we are well-versed in knowing what the Cleveland Monsters are about this season between the two preseason games and then starting the season off with back-to-backs in Cleveland against these guys.

So we knew what to expect going into this one, right? Heavy hits.

This is a guy that... know fell to the third round because people weren't sure about his size his conditioning um and every single time it's about proving them wrong like he won an mvp in the ushl playoffs in his draft year with youngstown as they won uh the uh the the championship there a guy that was thrown right into the fire when he jumped to the pros.

Remember when Montembeau got injured and Primo got called up? As a rookie, he's the starting goaltender for the Laval Rocket against the Cleveland Monsters.

Second game in, gets a shutout.

And last year was brought in as kind of like a Hail Mary move because both goalies weren't feeling it, and he just took that challenge and ran with it.

But when you trade...

There definitely has to be some prospects included because I I hate looking at Cleveland's roster right now because I'm not seeing any help on the horizon.

Draft picks are always a crapshoot.
