After my girlfriend and I reconciled, she has not spoken to anyone in my family.

At one point, my girlfriend shared a link to my mom for a ClassDojo for a grandparents' day at the school, and this was her idea of reaching out.

Obviously, Mom had hoped for more.

So another few months go by of no talking.

So, my son is in one of the classrooms you mentioned in your weekly email that becomes warm during the afternoon.

His teacher reached out via ClassDojo to the parents and said multiple students felt ill, including headaches and nausea, due to the heat last Friday, even with the additional cooling measures you mentioned.

So you said in your weekly email that you'd be monitoring the indoor temperatures and working with maintenance and operations to address any concerns.

My question and concern is what indoor temperature humidity would warrant moving the children out of the classroom.

This is, I think, the money shot in some respects.

So I would be inclined to scrap that whole second paragraph and then move up the third.

Well, first of all, it seems like TiE has branched out way beyond Indian entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, which is great.

... stuff and the form.

The other one's, do you have Dojo or something like that, which is like-

Yep.

Yep.

But school-wide, this is a huge piece to helping connect with your multilingual learner families.

Or maybe you can get a voice message that you send through that has a translation app or a photo that you can send, you know, even getting them set up with ClassDojo.

I don't think it's the most user-friendly, but it could be an option as well.

Something where you are sharing positive things here and there, those small moments compound.

And so schools in some ways are outsourcing their supervision and support of students thinking, okay, my elementary school students are getting this.

I don't need to know my kid spoke without raising his hand.

If it's a big problem, then maybe he needs an individualized plan or we need to come up with a different style of classroom.

We have, you know, a 24, 48-hour policy, whatever it would be.

This is how I communicate, not through text or ClassDojo or, you know, whatever apps there are.

It's by this.

And so always... like referring back to those policies whenever you're talking with them just kind of as a refresher just how like you would with with your students you know mid-year or if you're starting um a new activity you remind your students these are the expectations of this class Hey, parents, just so you know, these are the expectations of your students.

And you celebrate the wins, and sometimes you gotta deal with some of the Ls or some of the setbacks.

What day, what number day of school do you think we got to before a message from my son's teacher came home concerning his behavior at school? And when I say message, this is in the form of a ClassDojo message, which is, like, our school communication.

I know.

We have, we have Infinite Campus, I believe.

It's somewhere in your phone.

Was it on email? Was it sent on Class Dojo? You don't know where it is.

So anytime you get a letter, just set yourself up a little WhatsApp message for you to put all your letters, anything that comes from school in there so that any time you need to refer back to a letter that came, you know where it is.
