Clark's grebe

In fact, it's one of the reasons why I have Jerry take pictures.

And I'll give you an example of the Clark's Creek.

Every time we've been out West, we have gone up to Salmon Arm and I've seen a Clark's Creek without any problem.

Canada year, when I really needed on there, we go up to Salmon Arm.

I spent four or five hours looking through the scope, not seeing a Clark's Grebe.

Did I see all kinds of birds that I thought were Clark's Grebes? Absolutely.

And so trying to find the absolute for sure Clark's Grebe didn't happen at Salmon Arm for us.

And we left and then we came back to Salmon Arm again.

So one of the things I found interesting about that is that grebes have this display among some of the species with long bills, like Clarks and Western grebes, where the pair will get up and rise out of the water like that and then scoot along the water for 30, 40 minutes.

And when the loon posture looks like a grebe posture to me when they rise up like that.
