Can you give us a little bit like why does Maryland need this constitutional amendment based on the national context?

Maryland needs this constitutional amendment because everything that we're seeing affecting us these days in the state of Maryland, I think stems from a lot of the chaos and confusion from this federal government.

that the Trump administration has been driving up affordability, has gone into unnecessary wars, has ice roaming our streets.

All of that is because Congress can't put a check on Donald Trump.

We need to make sure that we level the playing field because Trump has been out there in red states pushing back and saying, you guys all need to redistrict so that we can eliminate black representation in Congress and gerrymander these districts racially to their advantage.

And we've seen other states step up to try to level that playing field, like California, but the job is not done yet.

And Maryland has a role potentially to play in this.
