Claremont

Those, those companies were really suffering in Catawba County.

Reginald came a couple of weeks ago and helped us celebrate the announcement for Prysmian of a billion-dollar investment in the tiny little town of Claremont, Catawba County.

And so it, we kiddingly suggest that Claremont is an industrial park with a city that's attached to it.

And Prysmian doubles, this announcement by Prysmian doubles the tax base of the town of or the city of Claremont, and or will when it's built up.

And so this prosperity that will be recognized by this next five years' worth of investment in that cluster not only will benefit Claremont, but it will benefit Catawba County, and it will benefit Iredell County, and it will benefit Wilkes and Burke and Lincoln and all of these people that are within a reasonable drive time of this facility.

They'll be trained at facilities at Catawba Valley Community College, and they will take advantage of this cluster that we've tried to encourage over the last 20-some years by trying to help people understand what an asset that is here, the supplier base, the training base, the asset base that we have, the proximity to all of North Carolina and the interstates and the Mid-Atlantic seaboard and all of that.

And so these relationships, these ingredients, if you will, to go back to that first comment, those are huge in trying to help communities stay and thrive and figure out where they're gonna be for their next 50 years.

You've got The Pearl that is developing down in Charlotte.

Dillingham, too much of a liability defensively, and offensively wasn't doing enough.
