Well, absolutely.

And, uh, I wanna play you a clip from Housing Minister Clare O'Neil, who really struggled on Sunrise when being questioned by Natalie Barr over Labor's damaging policies.

Low income, young person-

We've seen a crash in new homes being built.

We've seen fewer people borrowing to buy property, including fewer first home buyers.

And yet you've got Clare O'Neil there seeming to think, well, everything's just going according to plan.

Yeah, her line is, "There's a lot going on in the hou- housing market." Look, I'm gonna stop you right there, Clare.

So from start to finish, Labor's changes have been an unmitigated disaster.

And honestly, Clare O'Neil, the responsible minister, is really quickly becoming very much like Chris Bowen.

Everything she touches-

Mm

She was the migration minister.

They shifted her from that portfolio because it was a complete debacle, and now she's in housing and she's had exactly the same impact.

As I said, the only other minister as accident prone as Clare O'Neil is Chris Bowen.

Hm.

lower GDP by a billion dollars over four years and add rent increases of up to $10 a week, not two, to rents every week, every year for the next four years.

And when it gets worse, the report showed the Albanese government's ban on self-managed super funds to be able to borrow to invest in property, the negative gearing changes and the capital gains tax changes will lead to 10,700 fewer people not more houses being built up to 2029, 2030.

So how are we going, Jim? How are we going, Anthony? What about the useless Housing Minister, Clare O'Neill? How are you going, Clare? What a trio, in concert and single-handedly collapsing the real estate market without realising their claims of getting cheaper houses for younger voters.

And they, all of them, are in denial.

Here are a couple of examples just this week in Question Time from the PM and Claire O'Neill.

Now, there is no evidence of that occurring.

But just have a listen to some of this commentary, including from the Housing Minister, Clare O'Neil.

Look, I think the housing market's cyclical in Australia, a very uncontroversial comment.

We see periods of very significant house price growth, and then we see the market make a correction, and that's what we're seeing at the moment.

It was given to the Afghanistan people." Who runs the Taliban, and how do they run Afghanistan? They run it with a hard fist of law.

Do you think that if $50 million is coming in, they're just gonna give it to the community to further help women and children education programs? How naive is this Australian government, or do we just wanna see the destruction of our Western society by these Fabian Society-controlled members like Penny Wong, Tony Burke, Clare O'Neil, clueless Clare O'Neil, Anthony Albanese, Chris Bowen? The list goes on and on.

So over the last couple of decades, we've s- spent something like $700 million, north of $700 million, either sending that back to Afghanistan into the hands of the Taliban, or we've sent it to the OSI to then come after our Australian heroes.

And you know that $350 million? They pulled that from the Defense Force budget.

So if you do have illegal overstayers, you're gonna have to make that call that they're gonna have to go to a detention center, and then they're gonna have to get deported, and that is something that has happened under Labor, but the argument is they haven't gone as hard as they c- possibly could.

I like to go back, you know, after the 2022 election when Clare O'Neil as the then home affairs minister tasked, uh, Martin Parkinson, former PMC and Treasury secretary, to do Labor's big migration review.

And the purpose of that really was to say, "Oh, the coalition over a decade did such a bad job.

Here are all the problems." So what Martin Parkinson did was he actually in fact identified what needs to be done, and Labor for the last three and a half years almost now haven't really followed through.

Both Labor and Liberal had appointed me to the Ministerial Council on Skilled Migration.

Um, I was appointed by Clare O'Neil, uh, to be one of three experts reviewing the entire program.

I was invited by Albanese, uh, as one of 100 people to the Jobs and Skills Summit.
