So once new systems and processes were in everyday use, what surprised you the most?

It was actually how enthusiastic everyone was for the change.

We managed to create this huge drive and this desire for something different to happen.

And we had people that had been here for I mean, the shortest time was I think five years.

The longest time was pushing 25 years.

[chuckles] So we had some, you know, some people had been here for such a huge amount of time, and over the years they had contributed to developing what was in place now.

So I was coming in as a massive disruptor to everything.

So how do you know whether you've actually achieved them? How do you know whether a digital investment has genuinely improved the finance function?
