Clara Luvanga

Players are coming in.

Luvanga now comes in.

And Luvanga came in and scored her second game.

So I do kind of wonder if the Spirit have hit some kind of wall with Monday.

Every time we've gotten to talk to her, which hasn't been that much because she hasn't played all that often.

It's not just that she can't get a game.

You've got Ashley Hatch coming off maternity leave, playing up top some of the time at least.

And now Luvanga comes in as well.

...

Washington, and Luvanga scores the goal, so another player comes from overseas and scores for Washington to win it.

But I thought there was more alarm than good in this game for Washington, because they looked like a defensive mess in this game.

It reminded me of the early part of last season.

And she's an NWSL caliber player at most of them.

Yeah, I was going to say, though, with Bolt kind of coming in, with Luvanga coming in, do you feel like you need a rotational player? You just have enough specialists now, right, to fill the gaps?

At least defensively.

Defensively, she does a job at midfield and right back.

Stay in the shield race.

And you bring in a player that has been in your team for two days in Luvanga.

You don't bring in Ashley Hatch.

You bring in somebody who trained with you once.

spoke it into existence.

She added Clara Luvanga, who will be the first Tanzanian soccer player in the NWSL.

They bought her from the Saudi League.

And the fee is undisclosed, which happens a lot in women's soccer, but some rumors are reporting it at $2.3 million.

Can't do anything on that.

But so moving on from the Bernal aspect of this deal, Bernal leaving frees up a roster spot for the new most expensive transfer in women's soccer history in Clara Luvanga, the Tanzanian international.

Clara is such a

nice name, you know.

Yeah.

I was going to say, some of

us have not seen all of the table on Clara Luvanga.

So...
