CKY

So I found out he lived two blocks away from me in Garden City.

And so I grew up there with, you know, CGOB, CKY, and CQRC, all had different formats.

But I knew all the DJs and all the music directors.

And that's how I got my education.

Because CGOB would only play certain kind of songs.

RC would play the other kind of songs.

CKY would play the other kind of songs.

So every week they'd be getting 78s and 45s and have a box of throwaways.

So that's why I went into broadcasting and journalism school and all that communications.

Uh, I mean, before I even thought about what I wanted to do, you know, like you see sportscasters on TV, I'd watch sports line with Joe Pascucci, Gene Principe, you know, I'd watch Steve Vogelsang and Darren Dreger and, um, uh, McMahon on, on, uh, you know, CKY.

Uh, I wanted to be TSN, you know, I wanted to do those things, but when I'd go to bomber games and I'd hear that voice, Oh, I wanted that.

I wanted to be the person that, speaking and then hearing the crowd, you know? Awesome.
