CJON-DT

Very involved with the media.

He helped establish like Newfoundland's first dedicated TV station, NTV, C-J-O-N.

And he and he would like run shows on it.

It was a news.

He was very known around Newfoundland.

Something he discovered with his TV station is because Newfoundland is so far off the coast, it's an hour ahead of like everybody in North America.

And he realized that that meant that when NTV's programming day ended, People would switch over to an American station because they'd still be on.

So he then made the decision to make NTV the world's first 24-7 broadcasting TV station.

And that's kind of how I got my foot in the door.

And then, of course, I started out at the Newfoundland Herald, then OzFM and NTV.

So that's where I kind of got my in, I'll say.

And that was never a part of what I wanted to do.
