I feel like that first time, because we didn't have video games in the house for years and years and years, computer games were eventually allowed, but not video games.

We, going to my friend's house, second grade, she's got a Super Nintendo, and pushing the button and seeing the guy on the screen jump was, it was like magic.

It was like fireworks in my mind of being like, I can't believe the buttons I'm pushing here are having the effect on that thing over there.

And that fun was immediate and amazing.

I didn't just have bipeds.

A lot of people applying to games assume, oh, I'll do a bunch of walk cycles because, you know, you need cycles in games.

But I didn't have – I think I only had one walk cycle and it was a crazy monster walk cycle and not – a guy vanilla walking down a street kind of thing and had all this body mechanics physicality stuff in my reel ogres really terrible animation piece but ogres like punching the crap out of each other and uh just all this physical stuff and and monsters and so i applied with that demo reel And I was like, I wonder how quickly they'll write back.

And sort of staring at the phone for days, weeks, and then being like, oh, I didn't get it.
