A snap protest supported by Drags for Change, City of Sydney Mayor Clover Moore, New South Wales Council for Civil Liberties, Kiama Blowhole, Pride in Protest, Trans Justice Project, Watch the Cops, Socialist Alliance, Mark Gillespie, a 1978-er, and City of Sydney for Palestine and New South Wales Greens will take place on Sunday and march down Oxford Street.

It's protesting the second police raid of queer bars on Oxford Street in three months.

Now, the organiser, Dennis Newhouse, drag name Kiamma Blowhole, said... ..the police are again targeting our LGBTQIA plus community.

As for the City of Sydney for Palestine, what's it got to do with them? The City of Sydney for Palestine that's going to stand in solidarity with those who think that their gay bars are being targeted.

So all the... powers that be were given my mobile, just in case of an emergency or a local production manager couldn't deal with them.

So I get a call from Sydney City Council, because I know, I said, yeah, what's happening? I said, what? He goes, I'm We've got traffic jam.

the roundup, we head to New South Wales and evidence before the Independent Commission Against Corruption has detailed intense political manoeuvring within Strathfield Council following the 2021 local government elections.

As reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, former Mayor Matthew Blackmore told the inquiry that informal agreements regarding support for mayoral votes are standard practice, though such deals are frequently broken.

The Operation Rosney public inquiry continues to examine allegations of misconduct, surveillance and potential breaches of public trust involving current and former Strathfield Council elected members.

A few other stories as well that caught my eye this morning.

We've, aside from veterans, have been campaigning pretty hard to scrap the Town Hall Square proposal put forward by Clover Moore, which was even supported by some of the colleagues on the City of Sydney Council.

I come back to the point I've been making throughout this debate about the Town Hall Square.

Why would we bulldoze buildings in the CBD at a time when we're desperate for housing and to put a roof over the head of those sleeping rough on the streets of our city? Well, it looks like the noise you've been making on the open line at 2GB has forced the hand of the New South Wales Government and the Planning Minister, Paul Scully, who's put the brakes on it.

I want to speed them up and that's what we've been working on.

But on this case, I think we do have to stop and see whether or not this fits the criteria to be called in as a state significant development.

You're across all of the criticism being levelled at this proposal, aside from the fact that, you know, the City of Sydney Council's putting a $150 million budget on it.

Some are saying it'll go over $200 million.

Now, coming up today, a few other things to let you know about, particularly for people living in Sydney.

Plans for a controversial Town Hall Square are now on hold because the Planning Minister in New South Wales, Paul Scully... is trying to take control of the project from the City of Sydney.

The Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, is not going to like that.

This is what I was able to figure out.
