One of the first movies we watched in Sunday Cinema, believe it or not.

And then lastly, something is bound for Oscar glory, and it's They're Here, produced and directed by the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind Citizen Four, Laura Poitras, and fearless local filmmaker Rachel Lauren Mueller.

A 22-minute documentary short film that somehow manages to pack a gigantic punch, this nerve-shredding account of ICE's reign of terror across Minneapolis at the very start of this year is an urgent and compulsory watch.

You know, we haven't really had even though there have been some real breakthrough films.

A Citizen Four, I think, you know, is a film that, you know, had such a huge footprint.

But, you know, I don't think we've we haven't had a moment where.

Um, and I, I am very curious cause you've, you have a very very impressive resume.

You've worked with some and done some incredible things, including some significant work like around the Snowden documentary and other parts of your work.

What motivated and compelled you to turn your camera and your attention towards telling a story about your family and about your life and your life with them?

Well, it was the last thing I wanted to do.

Because I had been working in documentary.

I was working for a filmmaker named Laura Poitras.

And that Snowden doc is called Citizen Four.

And I had been on that project.
