Citadelle of Quebec

I was glad of Steve's company the day we arrived in Quebec City.

We watched the changing of the guard of the twenty-second Infantry Regiment, modeled after the tradition at Buckingham Palace, at the Citadel of Quebec, a massive fort in the center of the city.

We snapped photos of the soldiers wearing their scarlet tunics and tall black bearskin hats.

Our group then checked into our destination for the night, the International Youth Hostel, minutes away from the high walls surrounding the citadel.
