Because of course, um, I mean, unless the Canucks' lawyers were abject, uh, failures, then they would've had in the contract that Canucks games need to be heard on Sportsnet 650 AM.

And so breached that by shuttering the station, and so needed to find a new home.

And we found out today, and here's Brendan Bachelor in tweet, it is official.

From an audio standpoint, yes, I apologize to everyone listening on the audio side, which the numbers have gone up a lot since Sportsnet 650, but they might go down after this.

I predict even lower tenants due to it because a lot of people follow the team through 650.

I think Trevor Biggs, you may have seen, had a theory that BX and Friedman are sticking it to Rodgers because they're upset for their buddies at Sportsnet 650.

But ultimately, they could still very much still re-sign with Rodgers when all is said and done.

All right, so let's go to smaller news.

Landon Ferraro, who's been on Sportsnet 650 and Sportsnet TV for the past few seasons, he has got a job with Winnipeg, TSN in Winnipeg.

You know how some cities have Sportsnet, some cities have TSN as their home games or at least their regional games? So Landon Ferraro will be joining TSN in Winnipeg.

So I like Landon.

I can't remember how long the contracts were.

Terms may not disclose, but Jonas Siegel, the media guru out of Toronto and others are reporting that indeed Kevin Bieksa and Elliott Friedman are free agents.

Now, speaking of Bigsy, Trevor Biggs put up a post on X and he put a video up saying he thinks his theory is is that out of solidarity for the Sportsnet 650 guys that Friedman and BX have not signed.

Whether they're mad at Rodgers, whether they're holding out for money, I don't know.

But in Vancouver, exactly the same thing happened.

Their station, 1130 News Radio and Sportsnet 650.

So their 680 News and their Fan 590s shuttered, okay? So two in Calgary.

That's a big city.

They've played, I think, a couple times for the podcast over the years back when we were doing shows at the Railway, downtown Vancouver, if you ever went to those shows.

Sportsnet 650 Canucks play-by-play Brendan Batchelor is quite the success story.

If you follow the NHL, or more specifically the Vancouver Canucks, you know that he went from calling play-by-play for the Surrey Eagles, then the Vancouver Giants, and eventually calling games in the NHL.
