Circumcision

And in fact, the book that we're studying right now, the Pirkei Avot, is a book of this, one of the 63 books of the Mishnah that was written under the auspices of the great Rabbi Judah the Prince, who was his successor and his son.

In fact, there's an interesting story where Rabbi Judah the Prince was born during this time, during the time where Circumcision was forbidden.

And the Romans heard that there's this Jewish boy who was circumcised.

And they said, okay, we have to inspect this child.

And I came across this one and it was called The Circumcision.

And it was just a charcoal drawing, right? And I went down the rabbit hole with that.

I was like, I have four sons.

on John Wesley, I will focus on five sermons.

The fifth sermon we will review is called The Circumcision of the Heart, published in 1748.

The sermon is based on Romans 2.29 where Paul writes, Circumcision is that of the heart by the spirit, not by the letter.

This sermon opens with Wesley stating that the natural man is dead unto God and whose spiritual senses are not used.

He then explains that present justification is being in a state of acceptance with God.

He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them in him.

So verse 11, Paul says, So Paul says that there is a circumcision made without hands.

And for anybody that doesn't know, Circumcision is the removal of foreskin on male genitalia, right? And that was biblically the physical evidence in Abraham's time of the covenant that said person made with God, right? So when they followed God, they had to be circumcised.

So he is saying the circumcision made by hands.

So it's not a physical circumcision.

And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old.

That is how they would.

Circumcised gives him.

It's an outward appearance of being a Jewish person or from Israel is to be circumcised.

You get a whole different viewpoint in the New Testament about circumcised and uncircumcised.

Well, it's just like getting circumcised.

Circumcise is surgery on your ding-a-ling." Okay, but there's a difference between getting it, uh, altered and removing it.

Okay? One does not require you to identify as a whole new gender when you wake up from it.

Okay? The other does, but that's the bigger problem for the Democrats.
