Cincinnati Bearcats

Yes, we should be talking about them.

And yes, we should be talking about Arizona, who has a very big game tomorrow night against Texas Tech, which is reeling after they got beat by Cincinnati last week.

And that big booster for the Red Raiders is all upset.

He's

All right, this I will bet.

Cincinnati and Satterfield.

He's going to get a lifetime contract.

Cincinnati's going to storm and they're going to storm again.

Give me Cincinnati Moneyline.

Block.

Give me the points to cover my ass.

They just beat Texas Tech at home.

Yeah, it's exhibition.

Guys are getting minutes here and there, but Illinois is going into the season ranked third in the AP top 25 and the Bearcats hung with them.

Uh, that was after the Bearcats had beaten OSU in an exhibition game.

So there's some hope.

There's also just, it was a lot higher scoring game.

So excited for that to start.

And then college football, less exciting.

Bearcats couldn't stop a nosebleed on a Saturday and fell to the West Virginia Mountaineers 45-42.

I mean, when you look down and you see the likes of Jason Kelsey, Bob Huggins, Connor Barwin, that's a pretty stellar trio right there for Cincinnati, so a lot of big opportunities there.

And while we welcome the return of Bob Huggins to Fifth Third Arena, we have a brief update from the family of Bob Huggins that came out yesterday in coordination with the University of Cincinnati Athletics.

So I will read that from the statement here on the podcast.

Quote-unquote, the family of living college basketball coach Bob Huggins wishes to share a personal update regarding his health.

Bob and his family will not be available for immediate interviews or questions related to his induction into the University of Cincinnati's James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame this weekend.

Which, that was the statement directly from the family of Bob Huggins.

And here is the statement from the University of Cincinnati Athletics.

Cincinnati Athletics is excited to welcome Bob Huggins and his family back to campus this weekend for his induction into the James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame.

These guys do a great job covering the Bengals.

Chatterbox Bearcats, those guys have been pumping out.

They've got like four podcasts last week covering UC sports.

They're doing a great job.

We've got that.

We've got UC Bearcats to kick around and more just ahead.

Austin Elmore from ESPN 1530, a little weekend sports recap, 700 WLW.

Music.

I think it's, you know, maybe some short-term gain, but a lot of long-term pain." So, uh, we talked about that.

And they've, they've got a new, uh, sports marketing deal with the University of Cincinnati Athletics, and they sponsor the football and basketball teams, multi-year, multi-million dollar, you know, sponsorship deal.

And they're, the teams will wear a little Wyler patch on their, on their jerseys.

So we talked a little bit about that and what, you know, since we can't necessarily say, "Oh, you know, somebody bought a car from us because, you know, we sponsor the football team." But he just think it's a, it's a good community outreach and they, they're active in the Cincinnati Reds, they're active in the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL.

UC faced him a couple of times.

UC beat him last year, but he had a huge game against the Bearcats.

I thought he had a chance to be an NFL quarterback.

He didn't really get much hype going into the draft, but he looked good.

We had Dan Harder early, 1035.

We'll talk Bengals, but also UC.

I know the Bearcats are by, but we've got basketball firing up as well.

And then later on, Allie Martin, local loop.

With Jalen, not Jaden Daniels, Jalen Daniels.

And Jalen Daniels, in case anyone needs a reminder, lost last year to Cincinnati.

Not the Bengals.

The Bearcats.
