Cian O'Callaghan

Mm

... uh, and then the opposition politicians like Cian O'Callaghan, Jennifer Whitmore, Pearse Doherty, et cetera, saying, "Well, you have those profits, and yet you have pensioners, et cetera, struggling to heat their homes this winter." And that's a particularly, uh, troubling image for the government that it needs to, to look at going into the, going into the next few months.

And there seem to be quicker wins.

Like, again, Jennifer Whitmore was raising this point about the plug-in solar that Barry Henahan has been talking about, that for, for people living in apartments who don't have control over s- putting solar panels on their roof, this would seem like an, an easy solution.

With the new Dáil term set to kick off tomorrow, and as we edge closer and closer to budget day on October 6th, political parties have been holding their annual party think-ins across the country.

The Social Democrats will hold their annual c- party conference in Merrion Square in Dublin today, and joining us now is deputy leader of the party and TD for Dublin Bay North, Cian O'Callaghan.

Good morning, uh, deputy.

Good morning.

Uh, that's, we're putting a lot of work into building the Social Democrats.

We're gonna run a Social Democrat candidate in every constituency around the country so that people have a choice and an opportunity to vote for the Social Democrats all across Ireland in the next election to try and get as large a mandate as possible.

Deputy leader of the Social Democrats, Cian O'Callaghan, thank you so much for joining us.

Thank you.
