Church Educational System

Tell us all about him.

Jeff characteristically says, "Use a short bio." He already told us he's been teaching in the Church Educational System as a religious educator since 1979.

That's when I was in seminary.

He serves at BYU as the Jerusalem Center Professor of Archaeology and Near Eastern Studies, also as a professor of Church History and Jewish Studies.

But it need not and should not end there.

You will shortly hear from Elder Clark about a new global initiative in the Church Educational System, an effort to provide learning to Saints and others throughout the world.

This initiative is inspiring and will give us the opportunity to magnify the impact of what we do here.

However, I believe we can best accomplish that by focusing in on our principal and board-directed role, which is to enhance the learning experience of our students in all the ways described in the mission statement.
