After the Montgomery Awards, what was the next one?

Well, so, like, Dad and I took turns driving it the first year, and he told me how to drive, and I told him how to drive.

So, things didn't go too good until then, you know, and I thought, I'm just going to build my own, because there was a lot of M's coming out at that time.

So I bought this M.

It was in a fire, and I took the transmission apart and cleaned everything up and put some bearings in it and made the frame.

And I'd done it all on a dirt floor in my dad's two-car garage, and every night I'd come out of there just filthy dirty because I'd be crawling underneath of it and all over it.

And I got it going.
