Chuck Dukowski

Yeah.

Ye- years later I played in a band with Chuck Dukowski, and I kind of had the same, the same thing where I'd be sitting there looking over and, you know, there's Chuck, like, in, in that kind of sort of knees together stance-

Yeah

... semi-crouched that he does.

Would you wanna play with, play in my band?"

Wow.

And I mean, I, I wasn't super familiar with the band, but I'm a huge Chuck Dukowski fan.

Of course.

And for some reason, Flipper was there.

And Greg Ginn and Chuck Dukowski, you know, they are SST Records, and they're trying to see if the Flipper wants to sign to SST.

And [laughs] I forget, like, who was just ripping on him.

Maybe it's Bruce Loose.

A veteran of the scene, Robinson had seen Black Flag play in New York in 1980 and had interviewed the band for his zine, The Birth of Tragedy, during Rollins' first trip to San Francisco.

Robinson sent Dukowski a copy of the album when it came out and Gin was impressed by what he heard.

Robinson wasn't sure what ultimately convinced SST to release Oxbow's new record.

And here's Eugene.

And I think Greg came to the show.

I can't remember.

I think Greg Davis thought Chuck Dukowski might have also.

I can't remember.
