Chronicle

It's very short.

It's an image of Chronicle.

basically one of those kind of like found footage movies, sort of, by Josh Trank, and it was written by Max Landis, and it was released in 2012, featuring of all the actors, Michael B. Jordan, and it's about a group of teenagers, or a group of younger people, yeah, high school seniors, who gain powers from an unknown object and they, they start, you know, doing superhero things.

And, um, I remember the flight scenes were amazing.

So it says here, yeah, here it says, damn, superhero movies could learn something from this movie, especially the flight scenes and the big battle at the end.

Nicely done.

So Chronicle, if you've never seen Chronicle, uh, yeah, highly, highly, highly recommended.

And then finally, we'll end with this one here, January of 2012.

He did great in Black Panther.

Have you ever read the script for Chronicle two? I never did.

I love the original Chronicle.

loved it.

Like I was so over found footage movies that was all started by the Blair witch project.

And then all of a sudden there are 50 found footage movies.

And I didn't even want to see Chronicle because it's just yet another found footage, but I loved Chronicle and I wanted to see another one.

Um, Now, it fell apart for various reasons, but no, I never did read.

No.

Well, Josh Trank was very much like Gareth Edwards at the time, who went on to also direct a Star Wars story, in that Trank had done a film called Chronicle, which is a sci-fi film.

Great film.

And it's quite good, actually.

But that one, obviously, I'm sure you know just how influential that film has been too.

The movie Chronicle was based off of that movie with Michael B. Jordan and Dane DeHaan.

So I would say that if you haven't seen it.

But Attack on Titan, it's every season, it's the same story.

I feel like we see a lot of directors...

I hate using Josh Trank again, but Chronicle, Fantastic Four.

Did not know what he was doing.

You could tell some people are too green when they're like, oh yeah, I can do this movie, da-da-da, and it doesn't really work.

You can tell they were the wrong person to do that thing.

I think of us as Matt Reeves.

Now, I was going to say, wait, so the director of The Fantastic Four made Chronicles? Yeah.

Yeah.

We all love Michael B. Jordan.

He's known for characters that he has played in Chronicle, Fruit Vale Station, Fantastic Four, Creed one, two, and three.

It's Fruitvale, not Fruitville.

Did I say Fruitvale?

It's like that, that perfect level of like film school pretentious that like, you just, it feels like a big, like breakout, like, like an indie movie that goes, like an indie movie that goes viral.

And then all of a sudden, you know, they're doing big things like, like when Josh Trank did Chronicle and you're like, hell yeah, it was on the, in the end ground, you know, this is like Aubrey Plaza's best performance.

yeah that's all i ever heard about it but she's supposed to be incredible in it the

movie's really good too and it's got like one or two layers i don't think i've seen since it came out though but i love black bear so um

I think my thoughts on the casting are just like sure.

Like I kinda, I like what they're doing in terms of like we're gonna cast these like not unknowns, but it, it's kinda like when they would get the director of Chronicle to be like, "Okay, now he's directing whatever."

Josh Trank? Yeah, yeah.
