I'm still not a fan of Call Me When You Get Lost.

I am not a fan of DJ drama, unfortunately.

But Chromacopia, Lumberjack's not bad.

And I watched a couple of clips of him on Bootleg Cab, and he said he went back and listened to a bunch of the classics like Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, 101.

Even all the way up to today, he was like, I even spun Chromacopia just to kind of get a different vibe of what I'm just kind of getting a zone.

He even said he spun TP2.

My question is, how have you coped with and thought about changing as you grow older? One thing that's always struck me about you is that you're simultaneously able to reflect your age and your wisdom whilst also feeling current, feeling engaged with contemporaneous pop culture, but not in a way that feels forced or as if you're trying to act younger than you are.

And so I'm always curious about the thought of how do you stay who you are as you age? Is very similar to the themes of Tyler's Chromakopia.

What parts do you keep? What parts have you changed? And how have you sort of approached that thought process as you've gotten older? I've recently turned 25, and it's something that's been on my mind.

So, I appreciate an answer.

Oh, Chromacopia was real good.

And then Don't Tap the Glass.

You know what? I've come around on Tyler, the creator.

And this was right before Beyonce went on too.

And I was like, yo, this is like really dope.

And then Igor came out, and then Chromacopia came out, and then Don't Tap the Glass.

Jeesh.

I went to look at Chromakopia and why I f- why people felt like that was a classic.

So good.

I went to a lot of albums.

Yeah

... from raw, rough sketches of a bastard and goblin into something like a Chromakopia or Igor, where it's like he's been chasing the same sound, chasing kind of the same visual identity and world building, but each step along the way better and better.

And to your point, never compromising his vision.

I mean, what I've always admired about Tyler is that- 99 out of 100 times, an artist that is a prankster and gets famous really young usually fizzles out.

... and I wish we had artists that were as honest as he is.

Well, I think that's what's interesting about him now being in his mid-30s, is that we are getting the children of Tyler, the Creator now.

Like, I think of a Doechii we talked about on Chromakopia, very much being a child of Tyler, the Creator.

I think of even, like, a new artist, uh, Laury, who just put out a really great debut album that has speaken- has recently spoke in interviews that Call Me If You Get Lost was the album that changed his life.
