I need to know what what i'm saying here you know because i understand the words i know they're all english words but the way they're put together i'm having a little trouble understanding the point she's trying to make and he explained it to me and after he explained it to me i could memorize it then i had no trouble because then what i was memorizing what i was trying to memorize was the feeling behind it like it's easier to understand the words if you know the context they're using i used to tell students that that if you have trouble understanding something like Lovecraft or Poe or Shakespeare, listen to somebody perform it.

Listen to somebody read it because it makes a lot more sense if read by somebody who understands the context because a lot of human understanding of speech and of language is like vocal intonation and facial expression and, you know, and even body language.
