And going back to planets in science and talking about the outers again, what have we seen historically with the likes of Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, of course, going all at their own different pacing? And do you think we're maybe on course to maybe rhyme with some of the themes of the past? Or do you think that might look different? What are your views on that?

I mean, I can break down the different things if you want me to go into or have conversations about it, but a lot of things that astrologers are talking about these days Uranus was famously in Gemini during the American Civil War.

And it's Dr. Luke Broughton, who's writing an astrology magazine at that time, which looks more like a Gazette or a pamphlet, who says that when Uranus reaches nine degrees Gemini, there will be basically a war that America will go through until Uranus leaves Gemini.

And he referenced the American Civil War and Uranus was indeed at nine degrees Gemini when you had Lexington and Concord.

And he used that because Luke Dennis Broughton was writing, he began his Gazette in 1860.

And usually when it enters a zodiac sign, what it does is that it knocks over the game board and sends all the pieces flying.

So in other words, imagine that you're playing chess with someone and you're both like concentrated on which piece you're going to move and where it goes.

And this time, I wanted to talk to you about Mars entering the zodiac sign of Gemini on June 28th.

Mars, as you may already know, is named after the Roman god of war, and in astrology, Mars is pretty much regarded as a malefic.

That is, a planet that brings nothing but war and controversy and argument and anger wherever it goes.

It crushes underneath its feet anything that gets in its way, and Mars has a bit of a nasty reputation, and a nasty reputation pretty much bent around creating trouble and delighting in it.

What, um, what gets left out when you're just looking at signs rather than planets?

Signs don't move.

They're static.

Planets are always in motion.

They're always moving around.

It would w- be like trying to read time if you saw the numbers on the face of the clock, but you didn't have the hands, okay? If you just had the numbers and I asked you what time, you'd be like, "Um, you know, you need the hands here." The hands are the planets.

They're the ones that are moving around the Earth, and they're pointing to the different signs, so they tell you the time.

Can you unpack this for us a little bit, please?

... "Okay." [laughs] It was, it was like, you know, it's one of those moments where it comes out, okay, and then it's like, "Okay, I better, like, figure out how that works." Well, interestingly enough, I actually found a lot of literature to support that that's exactly what a ruling planet was.

Um, there's a astrologer who wrote about Michelangelo, and he said this and things like that, and I had been applying it, you know, in my practice, but now it was being formalized, you know? And, and it was this idea that you're actually working with a planet that has your interests at heart, okay? And that if it's going through a good patch of sky, it's helping you out, and if it's going through a rough patch of sky, it's not as helpful, but it's still, you know, behind you.And as I began to write this book and really reflect on what I had written and practice it, because at that point it's like, "Okay, I'm gonna practice this", I was like...

And it's just one of those things you trip over it, and it was like, "This really works." You know? Like for instance, people born under Saturn, like an Aquarius or a Capricorn, you know, everyone's like, "Saturn, you know, one of the worst planets you can be born under, whatever.

You know, takes so long, test, trials, tribulations." But for people born under Capricorn and Aquarius, their temperament is attuned to that.

They get that.

They've gone through what the Jewish philosopher Walter Benjamin called, you know...

Damned.
