Christopher Penfold

Look, it really, that's why it still looks good today.

I mean, if you've got the Blu-ray, which I've got, and I've got the DVDs too, but the the blu-ray alone is just gorgeous you know it is absolutely gorgeous there's also the last thing in jerry and sylvia um did before they ended their marriage as well too so you can you can feel it in season one it's beautiful but then it's lonely and a bit sad there's a bit of coldness to that um but season uh one itself was run by um some uh different to what who was running season uh two later on so they had writers johnny byrne and christopher penfold and they wanted to really look like i and sci-fi so what does it mean to be human was one of the concepts too but they're also on the moon and being cut off from the rest of um obviously the known universe of

man

So it was, what is it like to be completely cut off from humanity? And you're bringing humanity to the universe, right? So that makes, you know, just as important, just as amazing, if you like, too.
