So and then, you know, again, why don't we jump into the cast here? So, you know, the cast for this one, very interesting.

So, you know, like you said, we have Christopher Lambert here as our center character.

He plays Connor McCloud, which we'll get to him.

I'm always going to refer to him as that because that's who he really is.

You know, he goes by some other assumed names throughout his lifetime, let's say.

but uh he's to me he's always connor mcleod and we'll we'll get to him in a minute but you know i would say right behind him and probably and obviously a bigger star at the time but he wasn't the main character we got our buddy sean connery here and he plays uh juan sanchez via lobos ramirez uh an egyptian immortal who has lived for centuries in both japan and later spain uh i i liked his character in this one quite a bit you know he's kind of the uh You know, think of Rocky.

You know, he's kind of the Mickey to Rocky here to Christopher Lambert or Connor McCloud in this

one.

[laughs] The author intentionally wrote this under a pseudonym like Jet Rink because he was too embarrassed to admit who it was.

"Don't put my name on the script." But what comes out in the end, I fucking enjoyed it, and I don't know if it was 'cause of Heather or her letter or you telling me, "Just watch this with some, some, some eye on maybe the big picture." But just like we talked about Highlander II, right? We imagined what was going on behind the scenes with Christopher Lambert and all the cocaine in South America, and the stuntman-

... showing up in his sweatpants naked and all this, right?

So that is, uh, the, uh, movie series we're talking about, and it is, uh, The Forgotten Highlander, that was the book that was written by Alistair Urquhart.

And for those who, uh, may or may not have recognized, my impression was that of Christopher Lambert, uh, Christopher Lambert.

Right.

Right, right.

And he had a very distinctive French American accent that the whole, "There can only be one." He was the son of a French diplomat, so the American and French kind of fused to form a quasi Dutch accent.

It's very weird.

You should watch a Christopher Lambert movie to understand what I'm talking about.

But coming back to our original hero of, on whom I based this question, Alistair Urquhart, born 1919, uh, died in 2016, was a Scottish soldier whose experience is one of the most extraordinary survival stories of the war.

Now, the gist of the film, if you're one of the three who haven't seen it- [laughs] ... which is a crime, a few select people are born immortal, and their destiny is to travel through time, assuming various identities to try to sneak through the cultures.

They battle other immortals, beheading the only way to dispatch the other, until only one remains.
