here's the funny thing.

Before I had seen this, here's what happened.

So before I'd seen it, I watched this Netflix documentary called The Curse of the Man Who Sees UFOs.

And it's about this musician who lives down in Monterey, California.

And he has taken hundreds of hours of footage and photographs of UFOs.

And and I was sort of thinking, like, what is it about Monterey, you know, Big Sur, that kind of area down there? Like, what is it that sort of manifests this kind of thing? Because there's been a lot of sightings of Big Sur and so on.

Yeah,

I mean, that, uh, that, it's, it's really just, I, I can't get that much deeper with it.

Well, again, I mean, it's this need to, um, recreate their incredibly, um, privileged, hyper-privileged childhoods, uh, where they didn't have to worry about anything and everything was taken care of by their rich parents.

I, I think, I mean, I think there are also a lot of kids who've gotten screwed, and the thing I keep trying to tell people is that what has screwed the younger generations is the whole open borders experiment because it makes jobs harder to find, it makes insurance more expensive, it makes real estate more expensive, make rents more expensive.

I mean, everything is just put under pressure.

And you can't...

I mean, we've stolen the future of our younger generations at the altar of, of international delusion and cheap labor.

Um, I, but it's interesting because before some y- I mean, couple years ago, I remember watching, um, somebody was interviewing Adam Curtis, who did the documentary Hypernormalization.

Well, there's also a liminality to it as well, okay? Because when you – the whole thing is that Chris Carter said it has to be real.

You know, it's only scary if it's real.

But to me, the episodes – I'm not afraid of the episodes of, you know, vampires or whatever, right? Mutants, zombies.

You know, I'm – the episodes of the X-Files that really scare me are the ones that I call the nonfiction episodes, the episodes about mind control, the episodes about human experimentation, right? I mean, there's – and there's a whole host of those, right? Those episodes are the ones that really get on your skin.

And I had mentioned that second episode, Deep Throat.
