And then relate and then you embed it as part of your life because this is going to change the way we live.
10:49
Chris? AI is just one of the disruptions we've had over the decades.
10:54
I really practiced for three decades and I've seen waves of technology take all this impact.
11:01
I can tell you the last time, now it's AI, but 20 years ago, it was switching from the overhead projector.
11:08
Remember something called the OHP? Yes.
11:10
I want to say no, but yes, I do.
11:12
So for the teaching industry, it was a switch from the OHP to Microsoft Word.
15:41
What kind of practical advice can you give this individual? I
4:34
So I'm wondering, is, what people are, are worried about, are they worrying about losing their job, or are they actually worried about whether they'll matter anymore? You know, it's, it's a different nuance.
4:50
I, I think AI will impact, um, the, different industries in different ways, and it'll be uneven.
4:56
And at different levels of the organization, I think right now the, uh, junior jobs are at, at risk, and maybe the more senior jobs, like management, may be less at risk, because it requires more judgment, more human, less transaction.
5:12
Um, I was just telling my student just now that anything that's man-made, any industry that's man-made is higher, at higher risk because AI can replicate some of these more human-type processes.
5:25
Whereas anything that's more human, uh, interaction and relational will be less impacted in the, in the near term.
5:33
And even for mental health, uh, many of our patients, even though we give them digital tools and give the digital self-help, they still want to talk to us.
5:42
There's this intrinsic need to relate to a healer.

10 MINS LATER

15:22
For you, Chris, if someone is, is watching this, and they are genuinely anxious because of the uncertainty, and it might not have anything to do with not wanting to reskill or maybe not even being able to reskill in, in, in some situations, just, it's just uncertainty, what kind of practical advice can you give this individual?
