I think before we talk about the last one, we should do Oregon first.

I think this is just, again, for the sake of just taking everything into account, there's been a lot of polls saying that the Republican candidate Christine Drazan is leading, or even we're in a dead heat with Tina Kotek, who's the incumbent.

I'm sorry, this is not going to happen.

Oregon is not flipping this cycle.

I don't even think it's going to be really close, honestly.

I think the chance for Republicans in Oregon to flip this was in 2022.

However, there was an independent candidate who might have siphoned off some votes from Christine Drazan.

It might be closer, it might be a lean margin, but I personally think at the end of the day, it's just too blue in some of these areas like Portland, Eugene, and Ashland.

Could a Republican win the Oregon governor's race? It's heating up out there, very close in the polls.

And the Republican Christine Drazan is taking on the Democratic governor, Tina Kotek.

In fact, Ms. Drazen joins us here in about 15 minutes on the Scott Jennings Show.

We'll get the lay of the land out in Oregon.

A Republican actually has a more than fighting chance to get elected governor out in Oregon.

And she joins me now.

But today, we're talking with a Republican candidate for governor and state, Senator Christine Drazan, about her priorities for Oregon and what she would do if elected.

Senator Drazen was first elected to the Oregon House in 2018.

She became House Republican leader in 2019, a role that she held through 2021.

Democratic Governor Tina Kotek and Republican State Senator Christine Drazan met in Bend for a high desert showdown on the state's most pressing issues.

But through it all, the candidates pushed their central arguments of the race.

Kotek painted Drazan as an ally of President Donald Trump.

Well, this one is different guys.

I'm with Christine Drazan and I feel I'm nervous.

Oh, come on.

Yeah, for sure.

For sure.

Well, did you have anything you'd like to close here? Why should people vote for Christine Drazan? And let's just I'm super thankful.

The governor, a Democrat, is seeking another four years in office.

Her challenger is Rep- Republican State Senator Christine Drazan.

Hurricane Trudy is approaching Mexico's coast, possibly bringing four to eight inches.

[laughs] That might be a way to reduce the number very dramatically.

I still think the best, uh, the best description of it though was the, uh, candidate in Oregon, uh, Christine Drazan, I think is her name, with, uh, the, the lesbian, uh, crew cut governor out there.

And she said, "Is, is this a drinking game where you get to take a sip every time, uh, you, you mention Donald Trump's name?"
