Uh, after listening to Dan Campbell's press conference, uh, earlier on Friday, it felt pretty certain that both would be out.

Uh, but the positive here, as positive as you can be with an injury report where you have two starters ruled out, is that one starter is coming back for sure, uh, to replace one, and that's Christian Mahogany.

He is not on the injury report at all.

That's very good news.

They have said different things out of different sides of their mouth over the past six or so months.

We'll see on that.

As for Thomas Harper, Christian Izian will be taking over as the starting safety, I would strongly suspect.

And then you will see the new guys or newer guys.

A lot of injuries on the offensive line.

Left guard Christian Mahogany, hip injury, did not practice Monday or Tuesday.

Of course, he was the high-profile player leaving the field early on in the game for the Lions.

Yeah, short week doesn't help him either.

We're just going to have to wait until we see the injury designations on Wednesday to know if he is, you know, just, hey, we were taking it easy with him, or if it was, hey, something happened during a walkthrough where he got dinged.

And we'll have to just, again, kind of wait and see what shows up on Wednesday.

Safety, Nickelback, Christian Isian with his groin injury, full participant Monday and Tuesday.

Yeah, I think they purposely didn't play him in week one because while he was close with this short week, I think they believed keeping him or getting him healthy for Buffalo was a better plan.

That's the optimism kind of part there.

But yeah, I would, I would definitely try to work those tight ends because it sounds like Christian Izien is gonna be probably active for this game, and I kinda assumed he would be the primary nickelback once the season started.

But he was, uh, he was inactive on Sunday with a groin issue, and he's missed, uh, he's been out since the second preseason game.

So there's a chance you're looking at a combo of Roger McCreary and Izien in the slot, and there's just not a There's just not a clear standout, this linebacker can cover this guy if they need it.

There's probably a good chance Mahogany starts.

You got your five best guys in the O-line, put them out there, keep them out there.

So that there's no, that there's chemistry along that offensive line.

So sounds like Christian Mahogany is going to start, at least according to Dan Campbell.

And look, this is going to be, this is, you know, the Saints are good.

So Lions had three players limited practice.

Christian Izien, groin injury.

Derek Moore, hamstring, limited, and Makai Wingo, groin as well.

So those three guys listed as limited.
