Christian Hosoi

don't

know, I had one board that we developed that was like the stretched head of Christ on the bass because I love Christian Hosoi's Christ Air.

Yeah, yeah.

So we like stretched the head of Christ on a bass and we had Johnny Rotten cut into a bass.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So Tony Hawk was in that, and like Tony Alva and all these famous skaters, Christian Hosoi and, uh, and this became, way later, like a cult film.

Got it.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna ask, if it became like a cult classic kind of.

Mm-hmm

... from skateboarding was just that there was a article in Thrasher called Code Name Viper, and it was Gonz, Cab, maybe Hosoi.

It was just this cast of the who's who of, like, what I thought was, like, the elite, you know, pro skaters of the time, and they were in Paris and all over Europe.

And, um, that to me was inspiring, and that's what I was hoping.

That's a guest board, right?

I heard Christian Hosoi on here, I was telling Kelly, I don't know the gentleman.

Mm.

But he was saying in the original stages or whatever, the beginnings of pro, or whatever, uh, guest board, pro model board, board with your name on it, uh, the graphic always represented the neighborhood or something about the skater.

And how I got on there is I was very into skateboarding and the Bones Brigade and...

Christian Hosoi and all that.

And my mom's friend was like, yeah, there's this young guy graduated from SC.

He's doing a movie.
