Chrissy Metz

My thing is, I don't care if you're on a GLP one, I don't care if you were losing weight, that's your business.

But when you're doing ads about it and trying to push this product, the first one that comes to mind, Chrissy Metz is now doing it and I'm pissed.

I'm mad.

I'm like, girl,

Yeah.

Entertainment.

Like, of course, Chrissy Metz is doing a GLP one.

Chrissy Metz is not going to come out and be a fat liberationist.

I don't know if her name is...

I don't know if this is Chrissy Metz.

That's the woman from The Lanterns.

Yeah.

Grandma Ma.

No, that's not Chrissy Metz.

Chrissy Metz is the heavyset woman from

This Is Us.

Hi, divas.

Before our guest joins us today, I would like to deliver some news, because I've been thinking about this, and then I found out some other news, and then I was like, "Oh my God, I have to talk about this." Okay, so Chrissy Metz is an actress.

She is known for This Is Us, and she just went on, like, Good Morning America or something like that, and was like, "I have something to say.

I am going on a GLP-1, and I've talked to my doctors, like, this is what's right for me." I'm like, "Okay, you don't need to make your medical choices public.

You can go on a weight loss journey without getting money from it.

They were like, "Guys, we heard your complaints about us using one of the greatest athletes of all time, Serena Williams.

Now we're gonna get Chrissy Metz."

Yeah, she's been a big proponent of body positivity, but she prefers the term health positive.

In thumbs for trailers, of course, you can find all the trailers I'm about to talk about in the show notes below.

Kicking things off, we've got Nocturne, created by Rowan Joffe, starring Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Graham, Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, and Gary Carr.

When a victim of notorious serial killer Jurek Walter unexpectedly turns up alive, Detective Jonah Lynn races against time to find the one person still missing, while his protege, Saga Bauer, goes undercover to get answers from the killer himself.

Dylan, what did you think of the trailer for the latest Apple TV series?

Yeah.

Based on the best-selling novels by Swedish writing duo Lars Kepler, stars Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, and Chrissy Metz.

Basically, it's Liv Schreiber hunting Stephen Graham, and that's probably enough.

Yeah, and

It's a really impressive list.

We have Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Poorna Jagannathan, Gary Carr, and Landon Pvalentine playing a character named Michael Frost.

We have to unpack what these specific actors bring to the table because this list is highly significant and tells us exactly how the showrunners are building the fabric of this town.

Okay, let's start with Bill Camp.

He is structurally necessary to balance Liev Schreiber's brooding, hyper-masculine physicality.

Culkin brings a vulnerability and a weirdness that makes the town feel unpredictable.

And Chrissy Metz.

Then you have Chrissy Metz, who is known for bringing intense, raw emotional vulnerability to the screen.
