The jury was staying in the same hotel as police and the media right before they handed down their decision.

So what actually happened during the accommodation crossover? To talk about it all, we're joined by Chris Vedelago, senior reporter with The Age.

Hello.

Chris, you are known...

The eyes of the world were on this tiny little community in Gippsland for a very, very long time.

There was so much public interest, people travelling from all over the country to the area to watch the trial themselves, social media commentary, so much press around this.

Do you think then that makes you asking these questions even more important? Because when something is high profile and high stakes, you know, we've got multiple murder charges that are before a jury, that scrutiny is even more important, that we need to really truly as reporters be asking these questions and making sure that justice, as you said, is seen to be done, not just done.

And absolutely.
