Chris Tavaré

Uh, which one?

Makes him slower than those great blockers Chris Tavare and Jimmy Adams.

That is stunning.

Yeah.

I know- Got 15 at the top of the order.

Chris Tavaré got 24.

Alan Lamb got 13.

Ian Botham was out for a duck.

So if you're lucky enough to have plenty of that in both departments, ability and temperament, and you can keep climbing the ladder upwards and onwards, then, you know, you end up where I did, which is a very special place to be.

'Cause you see a lot of people, for instance, in those, um, formative years, prep school, secondary school, there are lots of people with talent.

Um, and in my era, for instance, while I was at King's, you had people like Chris Cowdrey at Tonbridge, you had Chris Tavaré at Sevenoaks.

If you'd looked through the Wisdom School section, there would have been, you know, a kid at every school getting, I don't know, 1,500 runs in the summer.
