Chris Sherwood

My guest has spent 20 years in the charity sector and has led three of the best known organisations, Relate, the RSPCA and now the NSPCC.

Chris Sherwood grew up in Corby and was the first in his family to go to university.

At the RSPCA, he inherited a board of 28 trustees, a governance structure that had barely changed in 40 years, and a regulator watching closely.

He led the organisation through major governance reform, reducing the board to 12, and ultimately the Charity Commission closed its case.

It has raised over eighteen million pounds for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

Money described as transformational by the NSPCC's chief executive, Chris Sherwood.

Postcards, postcodes, whatever.
