Chris Rose

So I want to talk about the gas tax.

So I've seen a lot of Republicans, Chris Rose, Craig Allen Hart, a couple of senators, and some others call for the suspension of the gas tax.

Of course, Democrats are all over it, which is kind of odd because they're usually wanting to tax more.

But it's going to take the governor to call for a special session.

So they say conflict around the globe is pushing energy prices higher, and they want relief at the pump.

Republican Senator Chris Rose is also open to the idea, though he would rather tap the rainy day fund.

The gas tax money goes to the state road fund, and the Contractors Association warns that losing it could hurt road projects.

Ohio suspended its gas and diesel taxes for 90 days using nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars in surplus revenue to make up the difference.

Okay, well, let's see.

I got to read this text I got from your colleague, Chris Rose, who couldn't be on today because he's in a mine because he has a new job there.

So he's actually underground with a hard hat on, with a coal miner's hat on.

But he can get us on his phone.
