Chris Potter

It makes it so fun to play that I never feel like the instrument is hindering my creativity.

And when I hear my favorite players, you know, Chris Potter comes to mind, you know, whoever, like, I always feel like the saxophone is an extension of them.

Like, I always feel like they just play the crap out of the saxophone so incredibly and so masterfully that it never feels like the saxophone is in the way.

And I think with this horn, I feel closer to that.

I don't feel like I'm at the level of a Chris Potter, but I do feel like my creativity is not going to be hindered by mechanically what I need to do to make this work here with my dexterity, with my fingers.

So again, flying up and down the horn makes it more fun to play, makes it easier to play.

It's been really the highlight of this horn is how easy it is to play in the ergonomics and the design and the mechanisms and the mechanics.

That's where I met Chris Potter and Rodney Banks and Steve Nelson, who were also in the band and so many of the great musicians who I came to know during my time in New York.
