Matt MosconaHOST
And you'll hear that in just a second.
Matt MosconaHOST
But one other interesting thing was Chris Kiffin's perspective.
Matt MosconaHOST
So we've explained this, but on the Lane Kiffin radio show weekly on Thursdays, it's not Kiffin for an hour.
Matt MosconaHOST
What they do is for the first two segments of the show, they bring an assistant coach on.
Matt MosconaHOST
And I really enjoy that, by the way.
Matt MosconaHOST
Sincerely, I mean, of course, we want to hear Lane Kiffin for the full hour, but it's been an opportunity to hear from and get to know the assistants who otherwise never do media availability.
Matt MosconaHOST
So Chris Kiffin was the guest at the start of the show for two segments, and they have a player.
Matt MosconaHOST
Thursday was Davon Keyes, and then Lane Kiffin comes for the final two segments of the show.
Matt MosconaHOST
So, um, I think Jeff Lebby is a really good offensive coach, and that defense really, I'm sorry, that offense really stresses you.
Matt MosconaHOST
So last night on the Coach U show, Chris Kiffin was the assistant that, um, that was there.
Matt MosconaHOST
I love this answer.
Matt MosconaHOST
Uh, this was Chris Kiffin on Mississippi State's offense.
Chris KiffinSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
Puts you in a lot of conflict.
Chris KiffinSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
Um, they, they spread the field very wide with wide splits.
Chris KiffinSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
Um, we're gonna have to be really good in our zone coverage, quarterback vision, and we gotta go take the ball out of the air and maximize those opportunities, and then we gotta attack the ball when the running backs have them.
Chris KiffinSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
So it's gonna be a big challenge for us.
Hunt PalmerHOST
Uh, who we sp- who we speaking with tonight?
Chris BlairGUEST
We got, uh, Chris Kiffin gonna join us.
Chris BlairGUEST
We're gonna have him on the show, which is gonna be fun.
Chris BlairGUEST
I'm looking forward to talking about how those guys, both, uh, Lane and Chris, ended up doing what they do, and if there was anything else that was ever on their radar besides football a- and obviously coaching, which, uh, I think would be interesting to hear about.
Hunt PalmerHOST
[laughs] It's Chris Blair, voice of the Tigers.
Hunt PalmerHOST
Get on out to Court to Table tonight, 6:00, for the Lane Kiffin Show.
Hunt PalmerHOST
He'll have Chris Kiffin there, he'll have Davon Keys there, and they'll, uh, have a great broadcast, as they do every week there at the new home of the Lane Kiffin Show.
Hunt PalmerHOST
It is Court to Table on Burbank, as I mentioned.
CarterHOST
So what you hope for is how many people in that LSU orbit have actually called plays, have actually been a defense coordinator.
CarterHOST
Well, Chris Kiffin, the co-linebackers coach, I don't think has ever been a coordinator.
CarterHOST
Jake Olson, I don't think has ever called plays.
CarterHOST
Corey Raymond has never called plays.
CarterHOST
Has Kevin ever been the coordinator? I don't know.
CarterHOST
It's not popping up for me.
CarterHOST
Has Chris Kiffin ever been a coordinator? No.
CarterHOST
No, he's a defense coordinator at FAU, so he has called plays before.
Tyler SiskeyHOST
I mean, it was...
Tyler SiskeyHOST
I need to talk to Chris Kiffin.
Tyler SiskeyHOST
Me and Chris stayed in this hotel one time.
Tyler SiskeyHOST
Um...
