classic churches and hills you came from the north to the south yeah how does that feel

yeah it feels okay yeah i spent still spend a lot of time on the north side but it was kind of like an accident almost the way it happened we moved back from the uk we were living in london for years never expected to move back to cork but i went back to cork went back on the tools went back working full time and um It was like We moved back Our kids were quite young And my wife was like We moved back Without a massive plan And there wasn't a space In any like Montessori's Or schools or anything And my wife has a friend In a In a sort of little Montessori In the south side And they just got A last minute drop out So we put our kid Into that school You know And it's like Literally Then I was living In my My mam's house Like went back to my mam's house Living in the childhood bedroom With my wife and kids And made me feel very welcome but you know what i mean it's just a strange feeling no comedy no no nothing sending my cv to everyone 10 years off the tools so eventually i got something i got a job and this house came up and we couldn't it wouldn't even show us houses they were like no it's a house like you're not even You're not even allowed to look at it.

We've got some, but you can't see them.

Well, how is spring shaped up so far for the first day?

Yeah, so we've been in a fresh northerly for much of the day today.

Those ahead of that cold front that's moving through the southwest at the moment.

So far, we've hit 24 degrees at Bairnsdale, topping the list in terms of temperature for the state, even topping Mildura, which is sitting at 24.2.

So, yeah, very warm day.

It is kind of, yeah, one of the warmer starts to spring.

How's it looking around regional Victoria?

Yeah, we've got a bit of cloud about sort of central ranges and up near the northeast and out in Gippsland.

But, yeah, nothing too serious today.

There's a little bit of shower activity we've seen sort of clear up throughout the state this morning, looking at sort of mostly sunny and partly cloudy conditions for the rest of the day today.

There is rain on the way, though.

Probably not likely to arrive or starting to move through the western parts of the state in the early hours of tomorrow morning, which will sort of, yeah, spread sort of across into central parts during the day tomorrow.

That's ahead of a cold front, which is moving through the Bight.

And then the first look at next week, what are we expecting there when that rain moves away?

So for part of that documentary, the guy that was making the documentary with me came along to film bits.

He was meant to be just filming bits of the show at the Marquee, which was the biggest show of the tour.

It was like over 4,000 people in a tent.

It was crazy.

Are we seeing reasonable numbers?

Yeah, we did see some pretty significant rain across Adelaide overnight with around sort of 20 to 30 millimetres recorded about the other suburbs and 30 to 40 about the hills.

Yeah, since 9am, we have seen sort of, I guess, that rain rate's reduced significantly.

We've seen around six millimetres falling across the hills and down in the metro area.

We're sitting around three to four millimetres so far.

So, yeah, much lighter but still pretty persistent.

There is a bit more rain, though, still coming across York Peninsula now.

Some early fresh mornings too for us, Chris, so get the hot water bottle ready, the electric blanket.
