Reid's refusal to run the ball despite the league knowing how to counter his scheme.

Mahomes not being anywhere near the player he was since Tyreek Hill left and Chris Jones and Travis Kelsey aging out.

It's an avalanche there from the UK.

That's kind of the way these things tend to happen, right? I would take this because Andy Reid sits at 307 wins right now.

And you didn't know where it was going to go.

And so I feel like this team right now is certainly in a similar place where as talented as Mahomes is, as great as Andy Reid is, as accomplished as Chris Jones and Travis Kelsey have been, a lot of this team's success relies on players that... we just don't know a whole lot about.

And so I think that you saw where that year went for them and what became of the Chiefs after that.

I think the same is true of what can happen with this group if things go

I think this first season game, because it's the Broncos, a divisional game is going to go a long way towards deciding.

What kind of season they're going to have in this season is going to go a long way towards deciding whether or not there is a complete regime change or maybe at least a head coach change, if you want to put it that way.

But I think if they don't do well, there's no Chris Jones, right? Chris Jones is going to move on.

If they don't do well, I don't think there's any Travis Kelsey.

Defensive line, huge strength of this team.

Safety combination between Ufonga and Jones, love it.

So you're right.

This is the weakness of the defense.

I'm not sure exactly how he's going to do.

You know, Wattenberg's been banged up all offseason.

So on the interior with Chris Jones and Peter Woods and Tonga and Omar Norton, he might not even, I don't think he's playing in this game.

But they got a couple guys.

Peter Woods.

Then you still got Chris Jones, and you still got Karloftis, and a chance Gelati might go.

Now, all of a sudden, you mix and match, and you're bringing, I can throw you fastballs and change-ups and cutters and,

you know,

Because they'll say, okay, so you have George Karloff, this is ability... to crush from one side.

You have Chris Jones and then Kyrus Tonga and Peter Woods on the interior being able to move vertically and to try to cave in the middle of the pocket.

That is a death sentence for a quarterback if you've got a quick winner on the other edge.

So R. Mason Thomas is the one for me that I think, again, if he doesn't show up on Monday night, it's not going to be the end of his but I think he might have the most to gain in my eyes of all the newcomers because what we saw in the preseason looked really legit to me.

He looked ready for week one as the preseason clicked along, and so I think he's the guy that I'm most excited for outside of Ken Walker.

As much as I do think that it'll be fun to go back, maybe on Tuesday or Wednesday on the tape, and to watch what Kyrus Tonga does for Chris Jones, I think is going to be, hopefully also, very, very fun.
