Chris Hine

Okay.

Man, first off, RIP Chris Hine.

He's not dead, but, like, man, you can just feel it.

Like, Chris, I feel like there's such a good, like, balance in the beat where, like, John is a serious journalist that, like, asks serious journalist questions.

We are not experiencing the life that these guys are experiencing.

Well, we lost Chris Hine to Philadelphia, and I'm looking at him.

They got him traveling all over the world already to cover LeBron and everything else that's going on with that team.

He was at the Jalen Brown.

Um, again, Kuminga, 36 million over three years with the Lakers, turned that down for this two-year 12 million with the Wolves.

Um, but you said something about it's really easy to talk about all that stuff now and put it on the whiteboard for training camp, but then can you actually execute it? And I've been thinking about this all summer, and we talked about it with Chris Hine, and it was reminded to me with Jonathan Kuminga, but it was also reminded to me by Jalen Clark.

Last media day, a year ago, the two things I remember talking about was Ant said, "We're not that close.

The best teams in the league are close." I told Naz, this was 2025, I told Naz, "If he has a camp, tell me I wanna come through." I told Jaden, "If he has a camp, I wanna come through." And Jace Frederick did a really good job writing about this.

I can see how this would be perceived of, like, we're bashing Ant and, like, work ethic and stuff like that, but, like, Ant's one of the, like, hardest working human beings I've ever been in the presence of.

Like, I have never sweat as much in my life as Ant has sweat in some of these, like, Chris Hine workouts.
