Lewis would eventually give in to Zemeckis' demand for a movie song, writing Back in Time with Sean Hopper and Chris Hayes, and Lewis would also cameo in the movie as the high school band audition judge.

Marty McFly's singing vocals were recorded by Mark Campbell, and he would only get a special thanks credit on the movie to create the illusion that Michael J.

Fox did his own singing.
