For people... maybe new to the podcast.

The namesake of our podcast, Requiem Metal Podcast, comes from a zine that Mark and Chris Dick, who we'll make reference to later in this episode, started in high school in the early 90s.

And that's kind of where I met Mark and Chris through the magazine and the record store and various things like that.

So this is going back to the OG Requiem issue one.

What's his face? Chris Dick from Decibel Magazine on here, and he said, Marduk was going to be on the cover of Decibel, however, the bassist threw up the Roman salute, and that went out the window, even though they kicked out the bassist.

Like, anything that, you know, far right is just not condoned at all in our institution of metal.

And you kind of see... like an overreaction from the left on this.
