Dirk, Chris de Burgh had already been making records for eight years when he sat down to make his sixth album.

He had fans all over the world, but depending on what country you were standing in, he could either be a star or basically a nobody.

And then the album that he was recording needed one more thing, a fast opening song.

The song didn't even make the British Top 40, but it refused to disappear.

It traveled country by country and got one of the more ridiculous radio promotion stunts you're ever going to hear, landed right in the middle of early MTV explosion, and more than 40 years later, it's still one of the songs people most associate with Chris de Burgh.
